Isabella, a young Brazilian engineer, has moved to Germany for her first job, like many Latin American women of her generation.
Despite living alone (in her own apartment), Isabella’s loneliness remains omnipresent, as her arrival process takes its time. Given how reserved her work colleagues are, she becomes more and more aware that she is a stranger in this new world. Her mother's voice soothes Isabella through loving voice messages and video chats from afar, yet only initially do they help alleviate her condition.
